Hope for people of the 21st century

Looking at what is happening in the world can be frightening: restless, fast-paced life, global and personal conflicts, illness and fear seem to have people firmly in their grip. People long for meaning, love and a fulfilled life. Society finds itself in the postmodern era, in which relativism is very pronounced. This teaches variability in ethics and morals. This means that each person can define their own moral standard. There is no longer right or wrong. Satisfactory answers to the most important questions in life: Where do I come from? What am I doing here? Where am I going? Nevertheless, remain unanswered. In the search for peace for the soul, there is a lack of direction, even after fruitful religious and spiritual efforts.

The thoughts and actions of a postmodern society need to be understood before engaging in a respectful dialog with people. Answers to the most important questions of life need to be explained in a contemporary way:

  • Where do I come from?
  • What am I doing here?
  • Where am I going?

The Christian worldview has conclusive answers to all these questions.

The workshop ‘Hope for people of the 21st century’ is designed to equip people to convey hope to people of the 21st century.

Literature

In a highly digitized world where printed documents are being replaced by electronic media, it is reasonable to ask whether there is still a need for books or other forms of printed information. Still yes, knowing it is decreasing.

Adapting to the changes in behavior and technology of the 21st century any form of communication needs to address and incorporate these changes.
Eye catching images, concise wording, contemporary and fresh argumentation which drives quickly to the main points are some of the characteristics of today’s communication, either in digital or printed form.
